Pandora

I have been meaning to recover my code and graphics for Pandora and Chimera for some time now and decided to buy a USB floppy drive from Epsilon in Tottenham Court Road. £20 later, I gave the generic looking device a try with my quarter-century old floppies. Most could not be read.

Then I engaged the services of a couple of old friends with a PC laptop. They were able to recover the background graphics for the 16-bit version of Pandora. So here they are in all their 16-bit glory. (They were drawn by Terry Greer, who I exchanged emails with again recently.) They are from 1988, though the project was kicked off in 1986. We didn’t actually call it “kicking off” in those days and we didn’t call them “projects” either, but that’s what happens when you turn to management.
